Chapter Meeting minutes are missing for this year, therefore the following is extracted from George McRae's BOG Meeting minutes and is assumed to be correct:

The Chapter Meetings continued at the Cathay House through this Chapter year.

John Kennedy was Program Chairman for this year and in July he proposed the following for the upcoming year:

  • October - Air Conditioning - Mr. Goddard
  • November - Heating
  • January - Open Forum
  • March - General
  • April - Reports
  • May - Elections

The November meeting was preceded by a Plant tour of Ottawa Gas Company Total Energy Concepts facility. The speaker for the evening was Don Gibbons of the Ottawa Gas Company.

The January meeting was changed to "Radiant Heating", presented by John McCarthy of Hupp Canada Limited.

The February program was a talk on the Performing Arts Center. The speaker was Chris Cook, consultant on construction management for the architectural firm Affleck, Desbarats, Dimakopoulas, Lebensold, Sise.

The speaker for the March meeting was Don Stephenson of the National Research Council.

The speaker for the April meeting was Mr. N. Novac of York Division of Borg Warner, the topic was "Centrifugal Refrigeration Systems".

At May’s meeting the following slate of Officers were elected in by the members:
President - John Kennedy
Vice-President - George McRae
Secretary - George Carscallen
Treasurer - Dave Minshall
Board of Governors - Harry Atkinson, Peter MacGowan, Drew Hearnden

President Al Oakes turned over his office to the incoming president John Kennedy and thanked the executive for their assistance during the past year.
