Chapter Meeting minutes are missing for this year, therefore the following is extracted from George Carscallen's BOG Meeting minutes and is assumed to be correct:
The Chapter Meetings continued at the Cathay House through this Chapter year.
Program was tabled as following for the upcoming year:
October Meeting: Goodkey Weedmark, tour through Agriculture Building H.Q. (Sir John Carling Building) and talk on design of mechanical systems and mechanical problems during construction.
November Meeting: R. E. Crossey, re sound consideration and mechanical design of the National Centre for the Performing Arts. Local architects were invited to this meeting.
December Meeting: Christmas party.
January Meeting: Mike Fainstat of Combustion & Power Equipment Ltd., re gas conversion systems for coal fired boilers and possible tour of P.P.W. Cliff Street Central Heating Plant.
February Meeting: Norm Janisse of Johnson Controls; topic was "Building Pressure Control".
March Meeting: Dr. Sullivan, Chief of Atmospheric Control Dept. of Health & Welfare on Air Pollution.
April Meeting: Wilf Woodcock, President of Ontario Chapter covering refrigeration and ASHRAE manpower report.
May Meeting: Elections and reports. Technical committee members reports.
At May’s meeting the following slate of Officers were elected in by the members:
President - George McRae
Vice-President - George Carscallen
Secretary - Dave Minshall
Treasurer - Peter MacGowan
Board of Governors - Lou Bent, Rick Chiarelli, Charlie Hobbs
President John Kennedy turned over his office to the incoming president George McRae and thanked the executive for their assistance during the past year.
