The following is an edit from the Document entitled
Ottawa Valley ASHRAE Chapter "50 Years of History"
compiled by Frank Bann et al., June 2000

Chapter Meeting minutes are missing for this year, therefore the following is extracted from Lorne Wilson's BOG Meeting minutes and is assumed to be correct:

The Chapter Meetings continued at the Cathay House through this Chapter year.

A field-trip to the Carrier plant in Syracuse NY occured on October 19th, 1971.

In those days, there were ASHRAE Ottawa Valley Chapter Christmas Parties, and one was held at the Sampan Restaurant on December 14th, 1971.

Apparently the attendance at the March meeting was poor and this was blamed on poor weather, The Harlem Globetrotters, and meeting topic.

At May’s meeting the following slate of Officers were elected in by the members:
President - Harry Atkinson
Vice-President - Lorne Wilson
Secretary - Rudolf Jetzelsperger
Treasurer - Charlie Hobbs
Board of Governors -J. McAninch, D. Kelly, B. Bycraft, G. Wilson, J. Stewart

Presumably, President Peter MacGowan turned over his office to the incoming president Harry Atkinson and thanked the executive for their assistance during the past year.
