The Chapter Meetings continued at Phileas Fogg through this Chapter year.

The meeting minutes are missing for this year but the newsletters are intact and afford the following:

At September's meeting the topic was "M & I Compact Space Fan Systems" with speaker Dipti Datta, President of M & I Transfer, which specialized in the design and manufacture of custom-made air moving equipment.

"Energy Cells" were the topic for the October meeting, with guest speaker Dr. WA Adams, Director of Electrochemical Science and Technology Centre of the University of Ottawa.

George Drennan, Sales Manager of Hiross Canada Inc., was guest speaker for the November meeting. His topic was "Precise Environmental Control as Applied to Computer Rooms, Labs, Museums, Clean Rooms etc.".

In January the topic was "Supermarket Heat Recovery" with guest speaker Warren Cook, Commercial Sales Manager of Hussman Food Store Equipment. He was one of the "back room" development engineers working with: Heat Recovery, Hot Gas Defrost, Blast Chillers and Freezers, Process Cooling etc.

February's topic was "Chemical Recovery Boilers for the Pulp and Paper Industry" with guest speaker Greg Santyr, Engineering Supervisor at Combustion Engineering.

"Commercial Applications of Earth Energy Systems" was the topic for March. The gust speaker was Cam McNeil, Manager Canadian Operations, Command-Aire Corporation.

At April's meeting, Professor Don Westwood spoke on "A Lamb Amongst the Wolves: How We Don't Communicate".

May's meeting topic was "Hazardous Gas - What are you Walking Into?" with speakers David Jenkins and Byrne Currie, both of Quatrosense Environmental Ltd., specialists in gas detection in the commercial and industrial environment. Presumably, Bill McKinnon turned over the gavel to Byron Landry, and Past President Paul Baker presented Billl with the Past Presidents Pin.
